Robert has practiced employment law for more than 25 years — starting on the management side in labor arbitration and collective bargaining, then opening his own practice in 2006 to represent employees in wrongful termination, wage-and-hour, and contract disputes, while continuing to counsel businesses as well. That range is the point: he's seen how employers build their case, so he knows how to build yours.

From 2012, he served as general counsel to an international labor union, representing clients in more than 40 states, winning or settling over 250 arbitration cases, and litigating a dozen-plus federal lawsuits — including arguments before federal district and circuit courts and appearances before the NLRB, DOL, and EEOC. He negotiated more than 50 collective bargaining agreements along the way.

Today Robert maintains his own practice and serves of counsel with the Lazzaro Law Firm on class-action wage-and-hour litigation. He holds a finance degree from Miami University and a law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. He's recognized by Ohio Super Lawyers, belongs to the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Ohio Employment Lawyers Association, and the Labor Employer Relations Association — and serves on the board of NCC Solutions, a nonprofit supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
